COVID-19 and influenza diagnostic study

About the Study

We are looking for adults aged 18 years and older who are currently experiencing cold or flu-like symptoms to take part in a clinical research study evaluating an investigational test.

Researchers are evaluating a new at-home diagnostic test designed to detect COVID-19 and Influenza A/B.

The study is assessing:

  • How accurately the test detects respiratory infections
  • How easy the test is to use in a home-like environment

Who is it for?

You may be eligible if you:

  • Are aged 18 years or older
  • Are currently experiencing symptoms (e.g. fever, cough, sore throat, runny nose, fatigue)
  • Are within 6 days of symptom onset
  • Are willing to perform a simple nasal swab test
  • Are able to attend a single clinic visit

Participants who are unable to complete study procedures or provide required samples may not be eligible.

What does study participation involve?

Participation involves one clinic visit lasting approximately 1 hour.

During the visit, participants will:

  • Perform a self-collected nasal swab test
  • Follow simple instructions to complete the test
  • Provide an additional nasal swab collected by study staff for laboratory comparison

There is no ongoing treatment or long-term follow-up required.

Eligible participants will be reimbursed for their time and travel.
